Desert Mob 2020
Celebrating 30 years!
In 2020, Desert Mob celebrates 30 years! Over that time, Desert Mob, has fostered and charted the incredible rise of Aboriginal art from the desert to its current eminent position as one of the most important art movements and forms of cultural expression in the world!
10th, 11th and 12th September, Araluen Arts Centre, Alice Springs.
The Desert Mob Exhibition offers a snapshot into what is happening in contemporary art from Aboriginal owned art centres in Central Australia. All artworks in Desert Mob are selected by the art centres and are available for purchase. This event is a unique celebration of the vibrancy of Aboriginal art from our region. The annual Desert Mob exhibition is an initiative of the Araluen Arts Centre and it’s a great opportunity to meet the artists behind the canvas. See the Desert Mob Exhibition 2020, opening 10th September, at Araluen Arts Centre, Mparntwe (Alice Springs). Exhibition runs until 25th October.

It offers audiences a window into the Aboriginal art centre world and the artists at its centre, and it is a fantastic forum for connecting artists with existing and new audiences. The Symposium will be held on Friday 11th September at Araluen Arts Centre, Alice Springs.
