Join one of the oldest and most successful Art Centres in the country!

Warlukurlangu Artists are seeking two passionate Studio Assistants to support the artistic and professional development of their artists.

ABOUT THE ART CENTRE

Warlukurlangu Artists is a 100% Aboriginal-owned and led arts centre based in Yuendumu, 290 kilometres north-west of Alice Springs. Established in 1985, the Art Centre provides vital economic and social opportunities for our community while keeping culture strong. Our large and vibrant community belongs primarily to the Warlpiri language group and maintains deep family ties with surrounding outstations and the wider region.

Although based in Yuendumu, we also operate a satellite program in Nyirripi and regularly supply canvas and materials to artists in Willowra, Mt Allan and Napperby. Each year, Warlukurlangu engages with over 700 artists across the region, supporting sustained artistic practice and cultural expression throughout Central Australia.

Our art is renowned for its unrestricted palette and bold iconography, portraying ancestral narratives, Jukurrpa (Dreaming) journeys and the enduring spiritual connections between people, country and culture. These vivid depictions of country share public cultural knowledge—illustrating significant features and stories—while respecting and protecting the sacred elements
