Pam Brown Nungurrayi
Pam Brown Nungurrayi was born in Papunya in 1960 and learnt to paint from her uncle Cameron Tjapaltjarri, who was a Papunya Tula Artists member. Pam now lives and paints in Haasts Bluff and is one of Ikuntji Artists’ emerging talents.
Pam Brown Nungurrayi paints Papa Tjukurrpa – Dog Dreaming from Niyuman, east of Kintore. It is a little outstation. The dog lives at this place and can be seen as a rock.
The story was handed down to Pam by her grandfather and it’s a men’s story. She paints the sandhills surrounding this country.
