Artist statement
Pam Brown Nungurrayi paints Papa Tjukurrpa – Dog Dreaming from Niyuman, east of Kintore. It is a little outstation. The dog lives at this place and can be seen as a rock.
The story was handed down to Pam by her grandfather and it’s a men’s story. She paints the sandhills surrounding this country.
